4D3N Osaka & Kyoto (Joint Group)
Day 1 Arrival in Osaka No meals
Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport, transfer to the hotel via coach and check in. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 2 Osaka Half-day Tour Breakfast
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up for your half-day tour of Osaka. Stop for photos at Osaka Castle and visit the Osaka Castle Garden. Next, visit Shitennoji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest temples and the first ever to be built by the state. Proceed to Shinsekai Tsutenkaku area, Osaka’s “New World”. Paris was chosen as a model of the northern half, with the Tsutenkaku Tower standing tall while the southern half was influenced by New York’s Coney Island. Continue to Dotonburi shopping arcade where the tour ends for shopping. The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Return to the hotel by own arrangement and overnight in Osaka.
Day 3 Osaka – Kyoto - Osaka Breakfast/Lunch
After breakfast at the hotel, make your way to Hotel Granvia Osaka for your tour. Take a train to Kyoto Station where you will be picked up. The first stop is Nijo-jo Castle, one of the best surviving examples of castle palace architecture of Japan’s feudal era. Continue to Kinkakuji Temple (Golden Pavilion), a Zen temple that got its name from the gold leaf that covered the top two floors. The next stop is Kyoto Imperial Palace that used to be the seat of government until it was moved to Tokyo in 1868. Then, stop for photos at After a vegetarian lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to Heian Jingu Shrine, dedicated to the spirits of the first and last emperors who reigned from the city. Your next stop is Sanjusangendo Temple, famous for its 1,001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. Continue to Kiyomizudera Temple, one of the most celebrated temples in Japan. The temple is well known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, giving visitors a nice view of the cherry and maple trees below. Transfer to Kyoto Station and board a train back to Osaka. Transfer to your hotel by own arrangement. Overnight in Osaka.
Day 4 Departure Breakfast
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you are free until your transfer to the airport for departure.
