Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu D
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel for check in. Then, go on a tour of Kathmandu City. Visit Patan Durbar Square, the UNESCO World Heritage that was damaged by the earthquake. One of its attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. After that, proceed to the Buddhist temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Swayambhunath is one of the definitive experiences of Kathmandu. Mobbed by monkeys and soaring above the city on a lofty hilltop, the ‘Monkey Temple’ is a fascinating jumble of Buddhist and Hindu iconography. After dinner at a local restaurant, return to the hotel and overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Kathmandu – Pokhara B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Pokhara (6 hours). Enjoy the scenery of the green valleys and the snow-capped mountain ranges that will take your breath away. Pokhara is well-known for its remarkable natural beauty. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers that prosper in its environment. The valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes and the world-famous view of the Himalayas. Stop for photos at Phewa Lake, a freshwater lake in Nepal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley. Then, transfer to the hotel and check in. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 3 Pokhara B/L/D
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning to catch the sunrise at Sarangkot (40 minutes). Watch in wonder as the first rays of sun bathe the top of the Annapurna mountain range and marvel at the scenery of the lower plains of the valley. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in Nepal. In the afternoon, go on a tour of Pokhara featuring Bindhyabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge and Gupteswore Cave where you will find the statue of the Hindu God Shiva. It is said that the statue formed naturally by the flowing waters of the cave. Then, visit the Davi’s Fall waterfall. On 31 July 1961, a Swiss couple Davi went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow. Her body was recovered 3 days later in river Phusre with great effort. Her father wished to name it "Davi's falls" after her. Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which means "underworld waterfall". Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 4 Pokhara - Nagarkot B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Nagarkot (6 hours 40 minutes). A gentle drive to the east of Kathmandu, Nagarkot is a hill resort. Passing through terraced fields and traditional houses, you can view the spectacular mountain ranges such as Annapurna I, II, III, Dorjee Lakpa, and Ganesh Himal. On a clear day, you can also see Mount Everest. Upon arrival in Nagarkot, check in at the hotel and the rest of the day is free at leisure. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 5 Nagarkot – Kathmandu B/L/D
In the morning, enjoy a magnificent view of the sunrise that illuminates the numerous mountain ranges that can be seen from Nagarkot. After breakfast and check out from the hotel, Return to Kathmandu and check in at the hotel. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants. The rest of the day, you are free at leisure to explore the city or enjoy shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 6 Kathmandu – Departure B
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and you are free at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kuala Lumpur.
