Day 1 Delhi D
Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner and check in at the hotel. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi – Srinagar B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Srinagar. Upon arrival in Srinagar, transfer to your Deluxe Houseboat and check in. In the afternoon, visit the famous Mughal gardens of Srinagar, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. Built in 1633, Nishat Bagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snow-capped Pir Panjal mountain range. Continue to Shalimar Bagh, considered the high point of Mughal horticulture. During the Mughal period, Emperor Jahangir and his wife treated Shalimar Bagh as their imperial summer residence. Return to your houseboat and overnight in Srinagar.
Day 3 Srinagar B/L/D
After breakfast on the houseboat, you will be taken to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers). Gulmarg is a ski resort and is the heartland of winter sports in India. You may enjoy a ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest in the world or a pony ride at the area at your own expense. After a picnic lunch, return to Srinagar. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara boat ride on Dal Lake. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 4 Srinagar – Delhi – Jaipur B/L/D
After breakfast and check out, transfer to Srinagar airport for your flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, meet with your guide and continue on to Jaipur (5 hours’ drive). Check in at the hotel and have dinner. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5 Jaipur B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel, go on a city tour of Jaipur, the “Pink City”. Stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) for photos. The building was built so that the women of the royal household can view the street festivals without being seen by the public. Continue on to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Rajput Empire that was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue on to City Palace where you can visit the Museum and the Jantar Mantar Observatory. Drive past the business and residential areas of Jaipur to get a clearer picture of the lives of the people. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 6 Jaipur – Agra B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, depart for Agra (4 hours’ drive). Check in at your hotel upon arrival. In the afternoon, visit Taj Mahal, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his queen, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was declared a winner of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Next, visit Agra Fort, the former imperial residence of the Mughal dynasty. The prominent edifices inside the fort are Jahangiri Mahal, Khas Mahal, Anguri Bagh, the ornamental bath Shish Mahal and Masumman Burj where Shah Jahan died as a captive of his son Aurangzeb, passing his last days gazing at the Taj Mahal. Return to the hotel and overnight in Agra.
Day 7 Agra – Delhi – Departure B/L/D
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Delhi (5 hours). After lunch, go on a city tour of Old and New Delhi. Drive past Qutb Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world, India Gate, embassy areas and the President and Parliament Houses. Visit Jamma Mosque, one of the largest mosque in India and visit the Rajghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. After an early dinner, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Kuala Lumpur.
