Axis Residence is above a 3-level shopping mall, and 2-level of SoHo units. This is a leasehold development that was developed by RK Group, before it underwent a self-discovery process, and later emerging as ZAJ Properties. They then rebranded the mall downstairs to Fiesta Mall, continuing the good but delayed work they have laid into Axis Pandan.
Aeon Big will be the provider of grocery needs in Fiesta Mall, the closest hypermarket to Axis Residence. There are no Chinese / Indian restaurants or bars available in the immediate vicinity, the closest would be Pandan Indah. There is a KFC and Old Town on the ground floor, and a smattering of middling cafes serving Malay cuisine.
Axis Residence is located off the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2). However, while access from Ampang side is easy; access from Pandah Indah involves making a huge and long U-turn on MRR2 itself, after passing Tesco Ampang on the left. This is due to the closure of a junction turn under the MRR2, to allow better flow of traffic. It is a 15- to 20-minute drive from KLCC via Ampang - Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), granted little traffic is on the road. The integration of Sungai Besi Expressway to Jalan Pandan Indah and Jalan Pandan 1 has given another route for Axis Residence's occupants to get to Cheras, Jalan Istana, Bangsar, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
