Demi Chef @ ESVRM 2,000 - 2,500 per month
A Demi Chef de Partie, often referred to as a Demi Chef, is a culinary professional who holds a junior position in the kitchen hierarchy.
Responsibilities:
1.Prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and assist in the overall food preparation process.
2.Execute cooking tasks under the supervision of the Chef de Partie, ensuring that food is cooked to the specified standards.
3.Collaborate with the Chef de Partie in creating and developing menu items, taking into account quality, presentation, and cost.
4.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and stored.
5.Provide support to the Chef de Partie in managing kitchen operations, such as inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
6.Assist in training and supervising Commis Chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring that they adhere to established culinary standards.
7.Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring that they meet the established standards and specifications.
8.Work closely with other members of the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
9.Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and food handling practices.
10.Contribute ideas and suggestions for menu improvements, innovations, and enhancements.
11.A diploma or degree in culinary arts from a recognized culinary school is often preferred.
12.Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role is typically required.
13.Proficient cooking skills, knowledge of various cooking techniques, and a good understanding of kitchen operations.
14.Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
15.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changes as needed.
16.Demonstrated creativity in food preparation and presentation.
17.Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and consistency of dishes.
18.Knowledge of and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
