IMPORTANCE OF A VEHICLE SPEED LIMITER:
1. Speed Limits Are Set to Protect Drivers and Other Road Users. It Saves Lives
2. Faster Speed Requires More Stopping Time
3. It's the Law
A Speed Limiter is a device whose primary function is to control the fuel feed to the engine, in order to limit the vehicle speed to a preset value. This is mainly achieved through various methods, like solenoid valve based fuel control, control cable based accelerator pedal linkage control, electronic pedal voltage adjustments or direct ECM control.
Each and every product designed, developed and manufactured has been tested properly before it is sold. Apart from in-house testing, we are submitting our products into various reputed laboratories across the world, in which the capability of each product is tested according to standards applicable to the countries where it is installed. For example, Speed limiter has to be tested as per Gulf standards, if the target market is Gulf region. Organisations responsible for each country has its own standards, like Automotive Indian Standards (AIS) for India, Australian Standards for Australia and New Zealand, European standards for the whole of EU etc.
Third party testing is very important for products focused on road safety, as it is directly affecting human lives. Electro Magnetic interference from mobile phones, high / low temperature, severe vibrations etc. can affect the performance of these types of devices and need to have a proper third party testing before installing in any vehicles.
