Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support kitchen activities
- Assist in food preparation, ingredient measurement, and smooth kitchen
operations.
- Work closely with chefs to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
2. Prepare meals following recipes
- Maintain temperature, portion control, and ensure food quality.
- Follow standard recipes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Keep workstations sanitized and follow health safety protocols.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure kitchen cleanliness at all times.
4. Train and guide junior staff
- Provide guidance on food quality, presentation, and kitchen SOPs.
- Support team members in learning and improving kitchen skills.
5. Ensure cost-effective operations
- Monitor ingredient usage, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency.
- Assist in portion control and proper storage to minimize food costs.
6. Comply with food quality standards
- Follow preparation, presentation, and safety specifications.
- Ensure all dishes meet company and regulatory quality standards.
7. Assist in kitchen setup and closing
- Set up workstations, store ingredients, and follow closing procedures.
- Ensure kitchen tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
8. Manage inventory and stock
- Store raw materials properly and monitor stock levels.
- Notify the team of any low-stock ingredients to prevent shortages.
9. Ensure process compliance with guideline
- Follow specific guidelines through WI and docket issuance.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and compliance
requirements.
