I have a W140 Mercedes Benz S Class S280 1996 5 Speed Automatic

This car is a good project car.

It runs and drives.

5 speed automatic last of the production line.

Gearbox reliable and good mileage you can get

Cheaper road tax around 1.6k without classic car status which is attainable

This isn’t the most immaculate car, so if you’re looking for some 20k quality but 5k price then swipe left.

This car has been with me for 3 years I’ve done most of the mechanical major repairs which needs to be done, I did maybe around 3000km in 3 years. It get driven to the parts shop or home which are a 5 km radius.

The cars health is very good overall.

Engine is in good condition, I’ve replace all spark plugs, used plug coils and etc. I’ve also replaced the water pump & thermostat flushed the radiator and used coolant for it.

Service was done maybe around 500kms ago.

Rear brake pads are like almost new, fronts are still good. Brakes are in good condition.

I just replaced the front tyres to some used continentals, got it alignment and balanced 2 days ago.

Fuel pump was changed few months ago and filter, both new items, including the Fuel pump relay

Some of the tiny components such as the suspension bits I have done a little bit of it .

Rear muffler changed original just this year too.

Rotary light switch was changed new too!

It is in decent condition for its price

The audio unit I will be taking out.

Okay here are the cons

1.) paint - faded
2.) air cond compressor - jammed
3.) door cards - loose
4.) exhaust rattles a bit - clogged


Please don’t ask for lesser, the steering alone is worth almost rm1,000 the repairs is around 2.5k I’ve done.

Rm 4999 with Puspakom.
