Job Vacancy: Kindergarten Principal (Contract)

Position: Kindergarten Principal / Head Teacher (Contract)

Koperasi Tadika Minden Pulau Pinang Berhad (KTMPPB), located within Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, is seeking a qualified Malaysian citizen to join us as a Kindergarten Principal / Head Teacher on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure teaching and learning activities comply with the prescribed preschool curriculum and standards.
Supervise, guide and evaluate the performance of teachers and kindergarten staff.
- Ensure the welfare, safety, health and development of children are always given priority.
- Act as a liaison between management, teachers, parents and relevant parties.
Prepare reports, records, documentation and operational information for management.
- Plan activities, programmes and improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of kindergarten services.
- Support student enrolment, strengthen the kindergarten’s image and maintain good relationships with parents and the community.

Requirements:

- Malaysian citizen.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool - Education or a related field.
- Experience in kindergarten management or as a Senior Teacher / Head Teacher is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Malaysian National Preschool Curriculum and kindergarten operations.
- Good skills in staff management, reporting, documentation and computer usage.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Responsible, disciplined, trustworthy, proactive and able to work effectively in a team.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and manage multiple tasks.
- Willing to work overtime or on weekends when required for kindergarten programmes.
- Certificates or relevant training in Early Childhood Education will be an advantage.
