1986 Mercedes Benz 300SEL

I have been owning the car for more than 6 years.
During the ownership, I have done:

Mechanical :
- Fully overhaul the engine in one of the most well known Mercedes Benz specialist in town.

- Fully overhaul the gearbox by the same specialist

- Undercarriage has been all done up

Interior :
- New black leather seats

- all wood panel has been refurbish

Exterior :
- US style head lamp. It cost me close to RM 5k for the headlamp itself

- Original AMG sport rim

Verdict :
Engine is quiet and powerful
Gear change is smooth
Ride is very comfortable
Electric seat and front power window run well
Long wheelbase version is rare. Collectible item.
Huge legroom for rear passenger

Items to be repaired:
- Sunroof
- Touch up paint
- Rear power window

If you like old school classy Mercedes with superb comfort but easy maintenance, this is the car.

I seldom drive the car as it is one of my collections, but, I drove from KL to JB on Dec 2025. No issue at all. Smooth cruising.
