We are looking for an experienced and hands-on technician who is skilled in mechanical maintenance, machinery troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, piping, fabrication and repair work.

Job Responsilities:-

1. Upkeep and maintenance of all mechanically operated machines including piping and installation.
2. Fabricate required spare parts and special tools required for maintenance and repairs are included as part of the responsibility.
3. Adhere to set maintenance procedures to minimize production down time caused by breakdown of machineries.
4. Coordinate effectively with production staffs for timely and effective performance of planned preventive maintenance
5. Perform preventive maintenance for machines and pipe lines efficiently and effectively.
6. Carry out prompt and effective corrective actions on all breakdown calls
7. Fabricate/modify/alter parts to make good for use on machinery
8. Ensure assigned works/tasks are sufficiently and promptly fulfilled
9. Carry out approved modification and improvement efficiently and effectively according to planned schedule.
10. Follow-up closely for delivery of replacement parts and make good the condition when replacement parts are received.
11. Assist to inspect quality of work carried out by contractor and provide prompt feedback for necessary actions.
12. Prepare proper record and/or report for all work carried out into Daily Report/ Log Book .
13. Ensure tools, equipment and spare parts are always placed at allocated location.
14. Exercise good care and perform proper upkeep on all maintenance tools and equipment provided.
15. Implement 5S practices effectively within the section
16. Comply with safety, health and environmental rulings and procedures.
17. Provide proper guidance to Technicians and Junior Technician to troubleshoot and overcome machine problems speedily and effectively (applicable to Senior Maintenance Technicians only).
18. Execute work request order in absence of supervisor.

Job Requirement:-
1. Possess minimum a Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) or Vocational certificate (SPVM) in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent. Those with higher qualifications would be considered for position in higher grades.
2. At least 1 year (5 years for Senior Maintenance Technician) working experience in similar capacity preferably in a petrochemical, oleo-chemical or chemical plant.
3. Experience in troubleshooting machines problems, machining and fabrication of fixtures for machinery would be of added advantage.
4. Healthy and not a handicap person.
5. Good hearing and no color blindness.
