Our team at HARDmotion has thoroughly reviewed this product, and the design engineers at Thermal R&D eagerly awaited the opportunity to work on the highly anticipated Honda Type R. Our priority has always been to provide the best combination of performance, sound, and style rather than simply being the first to market. Luckily, Honda had already done an excellent job with the car's performance, so we focused on enhancing the exhaust system's sound and appearance. We knew that the larger tubing diameter would naturally bring some performance gains. We successfully optimized the sound to be more aggressive without causing annoying drone noise, and we also designed a new tip option. This true 3-inch catback exhaust system is designed to maintain all the original hangers, ensuring a straightforward installation process.

Additional Information: Their designers wanted to preserve the triple-exit tip design and have now introduced a second tip option for the Type R. With a 3-inch system, sound control was essential. We incorporated an internal rear chamber using Thermal's unique 'True Helmholtz Technology' (THT) TM to control drone noise while maintaining the aggressive turbo growl. This technology cancels out drone noise during cruising but retains the powerful, deep, and throaty notes during acceleration.
