Job Description
A skilled and qualified welder, responsible for joining, repairing, and fabricating metal structures, in particularly pipeworks, using various welding techniques, while adhering to safety standards and quality requirements. Candidate must be able to be independent and able to work in various conditions as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols to plan welding tasks accurately.
• Measure, mark, and prepare metal components using precision tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and rulers.
• Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, ARC welders, grinders, and cutters to join metal parts.
• Perform welding on metal structures and components, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to specifications.
• Inspect welds for quality, identify defects, and perform necessary repairs using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and production goals.
