STYLE NO. 8175: CLASSIC WORK MOC-TOE
The 8175 is modeled after the original work boot styles that made Red Wing famous. The 6” moc toe style is classic Red Wing work with Oro-Russet Portage leather, Vibram Lug Soles, triple stitched quality and Goodyear welt construction.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
In middle of 1990’s, Red Wing widely became a fad in street fashion. A huge hit of 6 inch Moc toe style in Black Chrome leather, traction tred sole Style 8179 was born from street movement that inspired customising their soles to Vibram Lug soles with piping storm welt. Red Wing’s Classic Work 8175 Oro-Russet “Portage” and 8176 Black Chrome were first released in 1987 in Japan. Both were sold for20 years until 2007 as standard products within Japanese market. This Fall/Winter 2016, Red Wing Shoe Co.reproduces #8175 and #8176, which are symbolic products for Red Wing in Japan.

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. Over time the full grain leather upper, leather footboard and cork midsole mold to your feet, creating an enduring and customized fit over time with each wear.

It takes more than 230 steps to hand craft each pair of Red Wing Shoes but it only takes three steps to keep them clean, conditioned and protected.
1. CLEAN
Light Cleaning
Use warm water and a soft bristle brush to remove stuck-on dirt. Then use a clean, dry cloth to wipe away any remaining excess dirt.
Deep Cleaning
For heavily soiled areas, use a clean cloth or brush to apply Red Wing Shoes Leather Cleaner. Wipe the cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow the leather to dry.
2. CONDITION
Proper conditioning helps preserve the finish and life of your footwear. Use Red Wing's All Natural Boot Oil, Mink Oil or All Natural Leather Conditioner. You can apply these conditioners with your fingers, soft cloth or sponge. Below, you will find the recommended conditioner to use with each of our Red Wing leathers.
3. PROTECT
Add extra protection to preserve your footwear. Red Wing Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil and mud.
