1996 Honda INTEGRA 1.8 TYPE-R E-DC2 (M)

The DC2 Honda Integra Type R is the Show contact number coupe Honda built to be the ultimate front-wheel-drive driver's car, still called one of the greatest FWD performance cars ever made. Why it matters
It took a humble Integra coupe and gave it a full Type R treatment: seam-welded and stiffened chassis, reduced weight, upgraded suspension and brakes, quick-ratio manual with LSD, and that screaming B18C VTEC engine.
Enthusiasts chase it today because Honda never really recreated the formula. As one retrospective put it, from 1997 to 2001 Honda sold a car that defied every rational business metric. 
The JDM version came standard with a 147 kW (200 PS; 197 hp) factory-tuned B18C, described elsewhere as a 1.8L naturally aspirated DOHC VTEC producing 197 hp and revving to 8,000 rpm. USDM cars listed as B18C5 TYPE R 1.8L DOHC VTEC with N3E 5-speed manual LSD 4.7 final drive follow the same recipe. 
96-spec vs 98-spec
These are the two JDM versions collectors argue about:
• 96-spec (Show contact number): Lighter, more raw, smaller wheels, the purist's pick
• 98-spec (Show contact number): Revised front end, larger 16-inch wheels, retuned chassis, slightly more refined
