Oris’ signature Big Crown Pointer Date, a design first introduced in 1938 and carried forward through generations.
This Ref. 7464 features a guilloché silver dial with gilt numerals and the iconic red-crescent hand indicating the date around the edge.
Produced in the 1990s–early 2000s, it represents the pre–Red Rotor era of Oris, before the brand adopted its famous marketing identity. Powered by the automatic Oris Cal. 574 (ETA-based, 17 jewels) with a gold guilloché rotor, visible through the exhibition caseback.
At 28mm with a fluted bezel and beads-of-rice bracelet, it balances vintage-inspired charm with everyday Swiss reliability.
Fun fact: Oris launched the Pointer Date before WWII as a pilot’s watch — the oversized crown was designed for easy operation while wearing gloves.
