A grandfather clock is often seen as a symbol of tradition, stability, and the passage of time. It can represent the importance of family, the wisdom of older generations, and the continuity of life. It also symbolises prosperity and success. And this is why my family got this clock to enrich our house.

Place of purchase: I got this clock in Mid Valley Mega

Mall around 17 years. And as you already know, the value of antique pieces will always go up as the years go up.

Original cost: I bought this beauty for about RM 20,000/- (I still have the receipt)

A history about this piece: This was a handmade clock made in Germany, the maker of this clock only made one of its kind. So as far as I know, there will be no other piece like this.

Reason for Selling: I am moving out of Malaysia and I cannot carry this from country to country, So I want to find it a new loving home.

Features of the Clock:

1) You have 4 chime sounds to choose from. (I choose the Big Ben sound)

2) You can choose how many times you want the clock to chime. Either every 15 minutes, or hourly once, or once in 3 hours (12:00, 3:00, 6:00, 9:00).

3) The clock automatically turns off during sleeping hours 11pm to 7am.

Condition of the Clock: the clock is in perfect

condition, the chimes work, the clock works. And there is a little discolouration due to fading around the pendulum and the key. So its considered "an aged clock", but just like aged wine, this slight fading only adds the antique touch and value to the clock.

(The key is used to open the front 2 doors which can be opened to adjust the time and the churner is used to reset the clock)
