This is a traditional Galle Almirah (a distinctive colonial-period Ceylonese/Sri Lankan wardrobe), traditionally crafted from durable jackwood (kos) or satinwood (buruta) with contrasting dark ebony wood inlays and moldings.

Design Features: Features double upper cabinet doors with fielded panels and symmetrical floral or geometric ebony inlay motifs

set above a lower protruding base with two frieze drawers and an intricately carved scalloped apron.

Support: Rests on heavy, rounded bulbous or onion-shaped turned wooden feet characteristic of Dutch-Colonial design influence in southern Sri Lanka
