Butterfly Dapur Minyak Tanah

This is a vintage Butterfly brand kerosene stove (locally known as dapur minyak tanah) featuring a blue enamel top and an attached glass fuel reservoir on the side.

These wick-type stoves were widely used in households across Malaysia and Southeast Asia from the 1950s through the 1980s before being largely replaced by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cookers.

The central brown or black knob with the embossed butterfly logo controls the internal wick height to adjust the flame.
