DDR (East German) bloodline German Shepherds are working dogs bred by the former East German government for military and border patrol. They are characterized by heavy bone structure, massive heads, dark pigmentation, and level toplines. Temperamentally, they are known for firm nerves, loyalty, and strong protective instincts. They are highly trainable and focused, with strong natural territorial and protective instincts, but typically lack the hyperactive prey drive seen in West German lines. We also provide obedience and protection training.
