ELV Technician/Installer

Summary:
To installs, maintains, and repairs structured network infrastructure, including copper, coaxial, and fiber optic lines.
To installs, tests, maintains, and repairs electronic security and entry systems such as CCTV, Door access and other low-voltage data or power wiring.
All other related ELV solutions.

Jobscope includes (but not limited to):
* Installation:
Run CAT5/CAT6 Ethernet, coaxial, and fiber optic cables through ceilings, walls, and conduits.
Install access control panels, biometric readers, and all necessary accessories for Door Acces system, barrier, alarms etc
CCTV camera installation - network and coaxial include
* Termination & Splicing: Perform cable termination and fusion splicing or mechanical splicing for fiber optics.
* Configuration: Connect systems to local networks and configure basic IP settings or controllers
* Testing & Diagnostics: Use necessary tools for testing and troubleshooting work. Identify line breaks, high signal attenuation, or interference and replace faulty segments.
* Compliance & Safety: Follow safety codes, proper grounding guidelines, and industry standards (such as TIA/EIA guidelines)

Job Requirements
* Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with cable strippers, crimpers, punch-down tools, and testing equipment.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy gear, climb ladders, work in tight crawlspaces or attics, and occasionally work outdoors.
* Certifications: Added advantage (but not necessary) if have related industry certifications like ETA FOI (Fiber Optic Installer), BICSI Installer, or local electrical / wireman credentials
* Teamwork spirit: Able to work in a team, proactive and attentive
* Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural blueprints, network schematics, and routing diagrams to plan cable paths.

* GDL License - preferable but not necessary
