The founding father of the modern racing buggies !

Lighting quick World Championship debut machine returns !!

Updated for modern electronics and motors, but retaining the design and look of original !!!

The Optima Mid is remembered for its brilliant debut at the 2nd World Electric Off-Road Car Championships in England 1987, where the prototype occupied 5 out of the 10 qualifiers in the A-Main final and finished in second place. Optima’s chassis layout with midship motor position and undercarriage grew in popularity and became the foundation for modern racing buggies. It is this Optima Mid that will be reproduced as the 10th model in the Kyosho vintage series. The main chassis is made from 6016T6 aluminium alloy that guarantees high rigidity. Each component of the car has been updated to match a modern power system, such as the 48-pitch gear for improved efficiency and precision gear ratio setting. The recreated Optima Mid also features adjustable belt tension using a tensioner not available at the time, ultimately achieving a smooth drive with minimal loss. Furthermore, equipment from the Turbo Optima Mid such as the FRP front and rear shock stays, and countersunk main chassis have also been incorporated into this model. The racy form of the original Optima Mid body design is faithfully reproduced in line with the popular vintage series. Experience the driving spirit of the Optima Mid incorporating the state-of-the-art mechanics from the past that cannot be matched by anything today.

Kyosho 1/10 Optima Mid 2022 Buggy

What you see here is, from my personal collection, a BRAND NEW IN BOX [BNIB] and IN EXCELLENT CONDITION 'Kyosho 1/10th scale To ma hawk 2015 [#30615]' up for grabs !! 

Based on the solid foundation of the Scorpion, the To ma hawk was modified and launched as a pure racing vehicle. On its release, the To ma hawk swept challengers away from Japan and around the world to create a legend that is still remembered by many R/C racers today. In response to many requests from R/C fans, Kyosho is proud to add the To ma hawk as the 3rd Immortal model in the Vintage Series. Incorporating metal parts from the 2014 Scorpion such as the 6061T6 aluminium main frame chassis, forged suspension arms, 2-piece aluminium diecast gearbox with built-in diff gears, the To ma hawk will always be a pure racing machine with its characteristic Spar tan double deck. The new To ma hawk is not simply a reproduction of the original machine. Each key component has updated with modern R/C racing technology and power source to product superior circuit performance. Many will appreciate its nostalgic style, but the elimination of radio box to reduce weight and side mounting of the battery for optimal weight distribution sharpens the edge of the To ma hawk for the pure enjoyment of true racing performance.

•	Reproduction of To ma hawk that swept races throughout the 1980’s. Each part updated to 2015 specifications.
•	Gearbox and oil shocks are pre assembled. (Requires filling with included oil)
•	Decals included create vivid color scheme. Side window mesh recreated with decals.

This is the Kyosho Scorpion 2014 1/10 2wd Buggy Kit. The legendary Kyosho Scorpion is known for being the first truly scale looking R/C buggy that could deliver race worthy on track performance. Even 30 years after its 1982 release, the Scorpion has left a lasting mark with enthusiasts around the world, being one of the most highly sought after cars by vintage collectors. Combining the unmistakable look of the original with modern features and upgrades, the Scorpion 2014 delivers strength, performance and durability that cannot be matched by the original model. 

A two-piece die-cast aluminium gearbox has been combined with a slipper clutch to protect the transmission and a gear differential to improve the durability and driving experience. Precision 48 pitch gears reduce traction pulsation for improved control characteristics, while the underside of the countersunk chassis has no protruding screw heads for minimal ground contact, increasing durability. Stainless shock shafts and aluminium shock bodies offer a smooth shock stroke from top to bottom, and a majority of the self tapping screws have been replaced with improved lightweight hex machine screws for easier maintenance. 
Like the original Scorpion, the 2014 is packaged as an unassembled kit, but the transmission and shocks have been factory assembled to simplify the build.
