Harrods 1999 Annual Foot Dated Christmas Bear

This is a splendid example of the 1999 Harrods Christmas Bear. He is in perfect condition having only ever been displayed. He is made in the traditional Teddy Bear style with a short-haired muzzle. He wears a deep red hat and scarf, neither of which have been faded with time - the bear and his hat and scarf are as vibrant a colour as when first new. He sits 13" high and comes from a smoke-free home.
James is one of the famous Harrods Christmas Bears. Each year a bear is created to celebrate Christmas and there are now 39 bears, including the 2024 bear, all are different, and all are gorgeous! Originally, Harrods did not name their bears, but in 2005 they bowed to ‘Collector pressure’ and started naming their bears. James gained his name retrospectively!
