I’ve not tried them all, but from my humble experience – I’ve tried the simplest TS Mini, to the TS9, to the Maxon OD808 and then to this papa Ibanez TS808 .. THIS TS808 is the one you will want. It’s the WARMEST and the one that retains the low-end of your tone the MOST.. There’s a reason why it’s also the most expensive one amongst the original Tubescreamers .

Sounds really great with a Strat neck for that true SRV tone (no, the TS9 won't get it). The real deal for zoning out to sexy blues music (unless you got the $$$ for the TS10). And just the best for boosting / stacking before other drives. Just smooth, creamy, and cuts right through the band mix like a butter knife. The TS808 is a classic.
