The Proton X50 is a B-segment SUV launched in Malaysia in October 2020, co-developed with Geely and based on the Binyue/Coolray. The original (2020–2024) uses a 1.5-litre turbo three-cylinder in two states of tune — 150 PS/226 Nm (port injection) and 177 PS/255 Nm (TGDi direct injection) — with a 7-speed wet DCT. An all-new second generation launched in July 2025 with a 1.5-litre i-GT engine (181 PS/290 Nm).
