The A124 cabriolet was an automotive marvel. It created history whereby it was the car that started the first ever E Class convertible production line in Mercedes Benz. Hence, all the E class convertibles which exist till date has to pay homage to the A124. Cars with strong historical origin like this always adds to it's collectibility value.

This extremely rare Sportline Edition high spec package option is a 100% factory original car. It was unregistered since 1995 in Malaysia until just a few years back. It has a genuine 36k mileage from brand new and well-preserved till date. This car has all the factory original sticker tags and markings everywhere since new. Nothing was ever removed! In plain words, this is an honest and unmolested car.

The Sportline Edition was a special high spec package option which included many additional performance upgrade in the car. They featured a lower stance, stiffer suspension, a quicker steering ratio, unique sports seats with deeper bolsters with special stitching and a unique "Sportline" badged gear knob. Exterior differences are subtle, marked by a "Sportline" badge and unique 16-inch, 8-hole wheels.

Exterior body colour is in Azurite Blue matched with Navy Blue leather interior, blue carpets and blue convertible top as well. The interior is encapsulated with the original genuine leather from the day it rolled out the factory. The wooden panels are in pristine condition!!!! This high spec car also comes with dual passenger airbags and many other features to mention. The automatic seatbelt deliverers function as well. This car is powered by one of the most economical and reliable engine by Mercedes, the M111 twin-cam multi-valve. Road tax is only RM100 plus per year for this car is entitled for classic car registration with 80% discount.

This car is truly a hen's teeth and is from my personal collection. It is nearly impossible to come across another A124 E220 Sportline at this level of originality in Malaysia.
