starting with the body panels that have been completely changed at every corner. Not only has the shape changed, Yamaha also claims that its new LED headlights can also provide brighter and more even lighting.

On the engine side, the 2026 model still retains the 155 cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled VVA single-cylinder unit, but the compression ratio has been increased to 11.6:1, thus also increasing power to 18.5 hp (previously 17.7 hp) at 9,500 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 8,500 rpm. The transmission is a six-speed unit with a slip & assist clutch .

Apart from that, the sprocket combination has also been changed to 14/48T, which according to Yamaha, is done to achieve faster acceleration especially at high speeds. To add to the riding pleasure, Yamaha has also tuned the sound of the motorcycle's air intake system, involving the development of a special shape for the air box and holes to convey the sound to the rider.

The model arriving in Malaysia is the top version, which means that not only does it come with single-channel ABS on its front disc brakes, but also a traction control system – a first for a Yamaha moped.

On the meter side, the LCD digital unit not only has a new display, but can also be connected via Bluetooth to a new application called Y-On. Its functions, however, are the same as Y-Connect, providing access to message and call notifications, maintenance times, route and fuel consumption data, and the motorcycle's last position.

Other specifications of the motorcycle include a combination of 17-inch rims with 90/80 tires, 267 mm disc brakes with two-piston calipers and telescopic forks at the front, and 17-inch rims with 120/70 tires, 267 mm disc brakes with single-piston calipers and Kayaba monoshock at the rear.

Also provided is a 12-volt charging socket, smart key system and a 5.4-litre fuel tank. The warranty given for the Malaysian market model is two years or 20,000 km.
