History
Rado attributes a major portion of its success to its initial models, such as the Diastar and Integral, for it was these models that helped Rado establish itself as a splendid face in the watch making industry, in the 1900’s. Initially established in 1917, the company started as a small clockwork factory, that later reinvented itself as Rado. The first scratch resistant watch in the world was the Rado DiaStar, introduced in 1962. This marked a revolution in the field of watch making. It used two never used before materials- hard metal and sapphire crystal. The extreme hardness of these two materials was supported by an unusual design, which is incorporated in their watches even today.

The unique oval shaped case encloses a simple white dial, which features bold vintage Arabic numeral markers, which pave the way for the super luminova hands.
