A rare 1920s/30s Royal 10 Typewriter with RARE double glass glossy side panes.
This model is probably the classic historic American typewriter. The model 10 began in late 1913 and the first variation had two open rectangular holes in the sides surrounded by pinstriping.
The model 10 took off in the competitive typewriter market of the day and continued to be popular all the way through 1934. Royal marketed their Model 10 as being the sturdiest and strongest typewriters ever made.
This particular model has double cut-glass window panes on both sides and represents the second variation of model 10. This double-glass pane body style began in 1914 and only ran until 1923. From 1923 and for the remaining years of production, the third and final variation was implemented and is the most often seen today, the single pane versions.
This original Royal double glass panes is rare and is in good running condition.
Ideal for display purposes in home, office, studio, restaurant or in events such as exhibitions , weddings , meetings etc.
