Brand New Seiko Prospex SLA041J1 The 1975 Professional Diver’s 600m Re-creation – 55th Anniversary Limited Edition.
Marking the 55th anniversary of Japan’s very first diving watch created by Seiko, this timepiece is part of a trilogy collection of new interpretations of the brand's diving heritage for 2020. This specific design recreates the 1975 Diver’s watch – which was the world’s first professional diver’s 650m with titanium case and the very first ‘Tuna’ – named by our fans because of the shape resembling a tuna can.
This 2020 version is a 1,000m saturation diver design with high anti-magnetic specifications: 40 000A and, in a watch industry first, the grade of stainless steel in this timepiece, Seiko’s “Ever-Brilliant Steel,” is more corrosion-resistant than in most luxury watches today and only usually used in the marine industry. The accordion-style silicone strap combines high durability and comfort - a strap design invented by Seiko in 1975 as a practical solution to the expansion and contraction of a diver's wrist at different depths, and came with commemorative box.
