If you’ve been struggling with a muddy or dark sounding guitar, tried different humbuckers but never worked .. It’s most probably not the guitar, EVEN if the guitar is a cheap guitar.. You’ve just been going for the wrong “popular” humbuckers.
I had a dark sounding mahogany guitar, that I tried different popular humbuckers that supposedly will “brighten” the guitar... They all sounded like crap. Those bright humbuckers do not have low end, and they just sounded too bright. That guitar of mine opened up beautiful tonally, after putting this Custom 5 in it.. And the best part is? It retained the low end warmth!! Pristine cleans sound, beautiful and chimey. It even paired and sounded great in the middle position with a p90 neck pickup.
Now you know why even those higher-end HSS alder-bodied Yamaha Pacificas have this TB-14 in their bridge yeah? Cause it splits very very well with single coils too!

Basically - Perfect for HSS Strats, AND dark sounding Gibson/PRS-type guitars.. Lovely clean tone, and big sounding distortion (thanks to the big low end).

- REASON FOR SALE:
This Custom 5 served me well for quite awhile now. But I needed more chugga-chugga output in the bridge of this guitar, so this came out from that guitar of mine. (for now)
Passing this on to a better owner. If doesn't find a better owner, I'll gladly keep it for a future project.
