Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies is a combat flight simulation game developed by Namco for the PlayStation 2. Set in the alternative universe of the Usean continent, the player takes control of Mobius 1, an elite fighter pilot leading the outnumbered Independent State Allied Forces (ISAF) against the invading Erusian military. The gameplay uniquely shifts between high-speed tactical dogfights in a third-person flight perspective and an emotional story told through static, hand-drawn cinematic sequences from the perspective of an orphaned civilian boy.
