Them Crooked Vultures is an American rock supergroup formed in 2009, featuring an elite lineup of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) on lead vocals and guitar, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) on drums, and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) on bass and keyboards. Their self-titled debut album, released in November 2009, seamlessly fuses the members' distinct musical backgrounds into a powerful, groove-heavy alternative and stoner rock record defined by intricate rhythms, heavy riffs, and psychedelic blues influences. The critically acclaimed release was widely praised for its organic chemistry, commercial success, and artistic vitality, highlighted by the track "New Fang," which earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2011.
