his is a £5 banknote issued by the Government of St. Helena in 1981 (see the Numista entry), graded 65 EPQ (Gem Uncirculated) by the third-party grading service PMG.
Item: St. Helena £5 Banknote (Catalog Number: Pick# 7b).
* Design Details:
• Obverse: Features a portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II (uncrowned) on the right; the left side depicts a view of St. Helena’s rugged, mountainous landscape as seen from the sea.
• Note on Variety: The PMG label specifically notes the "Corrected Spelling 'ANGLIÆ' in Motto." In the initial 1976 issue (Pick# 7a), the Latin word "ANGLIÆ" in the motto on the reverse was misspelled as "ANGLÆ." This 1981 version features the corrected spelling.
* Serial Number: H/1 399820, which matches the registration details on the PMG holder.
