JR Series 500 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi) Basic Set:
The Series 500 is a trainset developed by JR West for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines; characterized by a sharp, sleek profile reminiscent of an aircraft, it boasted a top operational speed of 300 km/h.
After concluding its service on the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen "Nozomi" runs in 2010, the fleet was reconfigured into 8-car sets and currently operates on the Sanyo Shinkansen line.
● Recreates the Series 500 "Nozomi" as it operated on the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen
● Features the new M-13 motor
● Uses hook-and-U-shaped conductive couplers
● A full 16-car formation can be recreated by combining this product (Cars 1, 2, 5, and 16) with Item Nos. 98364 and 98365
● Recreates the configuration with WPS204 pantographs
● Equipped with movable gangways
● Headlights and taillights feature a constant-lighting circuit board
● Headlights use warm-white LEDs; taillights use red LEDs
● Car numbers are pre-printed
● Powered unit features a flywheel
● Uses a new power pickup system and silver wheels
