The story of Alien Baltan begins in Episode 2 of the original 1966 Ultraman series, titled "Shoot the Invader" (侵略者を撃て). Known as the "Space Ninja," Alien Baltan is a tragic refugee from Planet Baltan, which was destroyed by their own nuclear experiments. Over 2 billion Baltans survived by shrinking themselves to microscopic size and traveling in a single spacecraft. When they reached Earth, they initially asked for a place to live, but their intentions quickly turned to conquest when they demanded the entire planet for themselves.
