Brand & Origin: Raketa (Ракета, meaning "Rocket" in Russian). Founded in 1721 as the Imperial Porcelain Factory, the Petrodvorets Watch Factory began producing watches under the Raketa brand in 1961 to honor Yuri Gagarin’s first human spaceflight.
• Export Model: Notice the text "MADE IN USSR" written in English at the bottom of the dial (around the 6 o'clock position). Soviet watches intended for the domestic market were printed in Cyrillic ("СДЕЛАНО В СССР"), while English lettering indicates this was manufactured specifically for export to Western markets.
