Style 8002 has stitched storm-welt that gives reinforced welt extension. It also has dark brown mid sole, dog-tale heel back stitching and leather lining. These details are consistent to our Moc-toe Work Oxford styles.

The History Behind The Style

Red Wing's moc-toe classic work oxfords were inspired by the success of the iconic 875 and 877 work boots. While the work crew needed a sturdy boot, the factory manager who moved back and forth from their office to the factory floor sought a more comfortable oxford. Lighter in weight because of its lower profile, these work oxfords could stand up to the hard concrete and not be too heavy for an entire day spent behind a desk. Continuing to wear a Red Wing product was only natural for managers who started their careers on the factory floor. They appreciated the comfort and durability Red Wing built into every pair of their legendary work boots and shoes.

Product Care
-Remove dirt from the shoe by cleaning thoroughly with a stiff bristle brush.
-Scrub gently with Red Wing Shoes Leather Cleaner, then wipe off the cleaner and dirt with a clean cloth. Boots should then be dried naturally in a cool, dry place, as high heat can remove oils in the leather.
-Using leather cleaner reduces the oil in the leather. To re-add oil to the leather apply Red Wing Shoes Boot Oil or Mink Oil as directed.
-Add extra protection to preserve your footwear investment. Red Wing Leather Protector provides an invisible shield from water, dirt, oil, and mud.
