ABOUT THE BUILD:
Sometimes, a project starts as an idea… and ends up as something truly special.

This is Yamaha Tenere Cross Cub — a one-of-a-kind custom build based on the Yamaha PG1.
Built by Grim Garage Malaysia workshop, it was designed to capture the spirit of the legendary XT600 Tenere — but in a smaller, lighter, more playful form.

They stripped it down to the bare essentials and rebuilt it with purpose:
- Over 7kg weight reduction (now under 100kg!)
- 5cm extra ground clearance with modified foot controls
- Upgraded to adjustable YSS front forks and taller ProTaper handlebar for off-road control
- Enduro footpegs and CST Legion MX-V1 knobby tyres — unstoppable in the mud
- Acerbis headlight, LED lighting throughout
- Finished in classic Yamaha Signal Blue, a tribute to the original XT600 Tenere

This bike has recently completed its first 1,000 km service — the engine is perfectly broken in and ready to go. Over RM6,000 in parts, upgrades, and countless hours went into this build.

They call it the Tenere Cross Cub, but followers gave it another name — “Itchy Tsinelas” — a cheeky nod to Itchy Boots and the spirit of adventure that inspired it.
