The 2025 Yamaha YZF-R25 has been launched in Malaysia with new bodywork and styling inspired by its larger R-series siblings, the R1 and R9. The engine specifications remain the same as the previous model.

Key updates for the 2025 Yamaha YZF-R25
Design: The sportbike features a new, more aerodynamic front fairing and a taillight that mirrors the design of the YZF-R1 superbike.

Assist and slipper clutch: The 2025 model gains an Assist and Slipper (A&S) clutch system, which provides smoother deceleration during downshifts.

Lighting: New LED headlights with slim LED daytime running lights (DRLs) have been added.

Front: Inverted telescopic fork.

Rear: Monoshock.

Brakes:
Front: Disc with dual-piston caliper.
Rear: Disc with single-piston caliper.

Dual-channel ABS is standard.

Weight: 160 kg (with 14.3-litre tank full).
