The "Labour of Love" VCD is a multimedia commemorative tribute produced by The Star newspaper in 2003 to mark the historic retirement of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad after his foundational 22-year tenure as Malaysia’s 4th Prime Minister. The presentation weaves together a poignant narrative of his leadership journey, combining rich archival footage, personal milestones with his wife Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah, and key national achievements, climaxing with the patriotic celebrations of the 2003 National Day parade in Putrajaya. For collectors and curators of Malaysian political history, this disc serves as a rare, tangible time capsule of early-2000s multimedia journalism. Its ultimate value lies in its preservation of a pivotal transitional era in Malaysia's development, making it a prized historical artifact for anyone looking to study, remember, or appreciate the sprawling legacy of Dr. M.
