Star Wars: Return of the Jedi concludes the original Star Wars trilogy with the Rebel Alliance launching a desperate mission to defeat the Empire once and for all. Luke Skywalker, now a mature Jedi Knight, seeks to rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt’s palace with the help of Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca. After freeing Han, Luke returns to Yoda and learns the truth about his family and his destiny. Meanwhile, the Emperor and Darth Vader oversee construction of a new Death Star, designed to crush the Rebellion. The Rebels form an alliance with the Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor to sabotage the Death Star’s shield generator, while Luke confronts Vader and the Emperor in a final battle between light and dark. Ultimately, Vader redeems himself by saving his son, destroying the Emperor at the cost of his own life, and bringing balance to the Force, while the Rebels destroy the Death Star and celebrate the long-awaited victory over the Empire.
