This vintage commemorative card holder was specially produced in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), 1967-1987, and the Third ASEAN Summit Meeting held in Manila, Philippines, on 14-15 December 1987. The front cover features an original ASEAN 20th Anniversary First Day Cover (FDC) bearing the official first-day cancellation dated 7 August 1987, together with a commemorative Philippine stamp celebrating ASEAN's achievements and regional cooperation. The holder is also fitted with a separate stamp commemorating the Third ASEAN Summit Meeting hosted by the Philippines.
The inside consists of transparent archival-style pockets designed for storing business card, or other philatelic collectibles. The cover inscription reads "Meeting of the ASEAN Heads of Government, 14-15 December 1987, Manila, Philippines," making it both a functional card album and an official souvenir of a significant ASEAN diplomatic event. The item commemorates a historic period when ASEAN marked its 20th year of regional cooperation and when Manila hosted the organization's Third Summit Meeting attended by the heads of government of the then six ASEAN member states.
