Synopsis:
WildC.A.T.s (Wild Covert Action Teams) Trilogy #1 follows the covert superhero team known as the WildC.A.T.s as they become entangled in a dangerous operation involving the alien factions known as the Coda and the Cabal. The story begins when Grifter investigates a suspicious lead from an old informant, only to discover that he has walked straight into a carefully planned trap. Captured by powerful enemies including Artemis and Hightower, Grifter’s situation quickly escalates into a larger conflict. As news of his capture spreads, the rest of the WildC.A.T.s including Zealot, Spartan, Maul, Void, Vo0d0o, and Warblade prepare to mount a rescue. However, their enemies anticipate this response and intend to lure the entire team into an ambush. The mission soon reveals deeper layers of conspiracy involving alien technology, secret organizations, and escalating tensions between rival forces. The issue sets the stage for a larger conflict that unfolds across the trilogy while also introducing new characters and threats to the WildStorm universe.
