Inspired by our rugged work boot heritage, our
Work Chukkas are casual in appearance, but
ruggedly handsome. They employ Red Wing's
signature white crepe sole, premium Sage Mohave
leather and Goodyear welt construction. The result
is a lightweight and comfortable casual boot that
is uniquely Red Wing. They're the perfect
shoe for looking busy while not doing anything.

The History Behind the Style
Our chukka boots combine a simple boot upper with
Red Wing's classic Traction Tred white crepe
sole. Unlike other Red Wing work boots, the work
chukka was designed for lighter duty. In most
cases it would be used for inside work. Finish
carpenters were the primary users. These
woodworking craftsmen needed sturdy footwear as
they labored to create the interior details of
homes and offices. While their boots needed to be
sturdy, they needed them to also be light and
flexible to accommodate the bending, climbing and
kneeling the work day required. The white crepe
sole allowed them to ply their trade and not leave
a scratch on their finish work.

Product Care
-The Sage Mohave leather is already
water-resistant, because it was initially designed
for the army, so there's no need for spraying
and conditioning. Just let it age as time goes by.

-Use Red Wing Shoe Nubuck/Suede Cleaner Kit for
Mohave leathers.
-DO NOT use leather cleaner for mohave leathers as
it can stain and change the texture of the
leather.
-To extend the life of the boots, spray them with
Red Wing Leather Protector before wearing them for
the first time.
