Set against the backdrop of a struggling marine amusement park, Free Willy tells the heartfelt story of Jesse, a troubled young boy who forms an unlikely bond with Willy, a captive orca whale. Initially rebellious and disconnected, Jesse is assigned to clean graffiti at the park, where he meets Willy and begins to connect with the intelligent creature. As their friendship grows, Jesse learns that Willy is being exploited for profit and faces a grim fate when he no longer draws crowds. Determined to save his friend, Jesse teams up with a kind trainer and supportive guardians to orchestrate a daring plan to return Willy to the wild.
