Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert), the immortal Scottish warrior, has tried to live a quiet life after centuries of struggle, but his peace is shattered when the ruthless sorcerer Kane (Mario Van Peebles) escapes imprisonment. Kane, aided by his followers Senghi Khan (Raoul Trujillo) and Khabul Khan (Jean-Pierre Pérusse), seeks to destroy all who stand in his way and claim the final prize of immortality. Memories of his mentor Nakano (Mako) remind Connor of the heavy burden of his kind, while his growing relationship with Dr. Alexandra Johnson (Deborah Kara Unger) ties him more deeply to the modern world. Drawn back into a conflict he cannot avoid, Connor must once again raise his sword for a final confrontation that will determine the fate of both immortals and mankind.
