The Living Daylights (1987) is an action-spy thriller film that serves as the fifteenth entry in the James Bond franchise and marks the debut of Timothy Dalton as MI6 agent 007. Assigned to aid the defection of a high-ranking KGB officer, Koskov, Bond finds himself untangling a complex international web of deception when Koskov is mysteriously re-captured. As Bond dives deeper into the conspiracy, he tracks clues across Europe and Afghanistan, joining forces with a beautiful cellist named Kara Milovy. Together, they uncover a dangerous alliance involving rogue Soviet generals, corrupt American arms dealers, and diamonds funding secret conflict. The film brings a grittier, more intense tone to the iconic spy, blending hard-hitting action with classic political intrigue.
