Job Description
Responsibilities:
a) Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace
b) Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment
c) Investigates accidents and tackle their causes
d) Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them
e) Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace
f) Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace
g) Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace
h) Introduces measures that will help curb accidents within the workplace.
i) Conduct toolbox training and etc. relevant to safety issues
Requirement:
a) Minimum 2 years working experience preferably from a building and construction industry in a similar position.
b) MUST be yellow book holder (for safety supervisor)
c) Willing to work at Project Site
d) Advantage is able to start work immediately
e) Possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational, Safety and Health qualification.
f) Must possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by NIOSH.
g) Must be fully conversant with various government legislation that relates to safety work practices at project sites
