Site Technician

Location: Based in the Klang Valley, with travel to project sites in Johor, Melaka, Penang and other locations as assigned

Employment Type: Fixed-term contract [12 months], with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment subject to a performance review

About the role
Cambridge Technology delivers cleanroom and M&E fit-out works for semiconductor, electronics, pharmaceutical and food-processing manufacturing facilities. We are looking for a hands-on Site Technician to support installation, maintenance and troubleshooting across our project sites. The role suits someone practical and reliable who is comfortable working to tight programmes in an industrial site environment.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out on-site technical work for cleanroom and M&E installation — equipment setup, fitting, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting
- Support project execution at Klang Valley and outstation sites (Johor, Melaka, Penang), including stay-in periods when required
- Coordinate with site supervisors and project teams to complete work to specification, drawing, and programme
- Report progress, site issues, and material or equipment needs to the responsible supervisor
- Follow all site safety rules, method statements and DOSH requirements; wear PPE and attend safety briefings
- Assist with other reasonable site duties as required by project needs

Requirements

1. Valid Malaysian driving licence (Class D) — mandatory, as the role requires travel between sites
2. Physically able to perform the demands of site work, including standing, lifting, and working at height where trained
3. Willing to travel and stay outstation (Johor, Melaka, Penang) as required by project assignment
4. Available to work overtime, rest days and public holidays when project deadlines require, compensated at statutory rates
5. Good communication and teamwork skills
6. Basic technical or mechanical aptitude; a relevant technical or vocational certificate (e.g. SKM) is an advantage but not mandatory
